Using Lens Studio, we created a face lens for JD Sports that was inspired by their #JDComesAlive campaign.
For the initial experience, we created a face mask that placed a plastic film over the user's face to mimic the appearance of a mannequin. Using segmentation, we also created a background of static sparkly JD baubles. Then, to bring the effect to life, we scripted in an "Open Mouth" prompt. So when users opened their mouths, the baubles would start rotating and the plastic film would disappear to signal that the mannequin had come to life. We also added a lightning effect to the entire experience and made the user's eyes a mutant blue. Within the eyes themselves, we added tiny lightning flashes to amplify the coming-to-life theme.
